DAY 3

Chengdu-Lhassa

Flight to Lhasa (about 01:30)
Stroll along Barkhor Street: it's a pilgrim's street that runs in the direction of clockwise.
Stands, shops, tea houses and merchants traveling along the path.

DAY 4

Lhassa

Visit the Potala, Royal Palace: a labyrinth full of statues, objects and symbolic representations, expressed by a succession of chapels.
Visit of Jokhang Monastery which is the oldest monument of Lhasa.

DAY 5

Lhassa - Gyantse

Road to Gyantse, passing through Mount Karola which is part of the Himalaya range.
Discovery of Green Jade Lake, also known as Yamdrock Lake.
Visit of the monastery of Palchoi.
Visit the Dzong Fortress which protected the city with its wall.

DAY 6

Gyantse-Xigatse

Visit of the Tashilumbo Monastery, in this monastery resided the panchen-lamas
Hiking in the mountains surrounding the monastery (01:00)
Discovering a local Tibetan market

DAY 7

Xigatse-Lhassa

Visit a Tibetan incense factory, participate in the manufacture of incense sticks!
Visit the Norbulinka Palace, summer residence of the Dalai Lamas, the park is home to a maze of small palaces and a zoo

DAY 8

Lhassa

Hiking to the Sera Monastery
Visit of Sera Monastery, which teaches the basic precepts of Buddhism
You will attend the monks' debate taking place outside in the courtyard
They discuss Buddhist doctrine

DAY 9

Lhassa/Chengdu

Visit to the Pandas Research Center
A walk in the city center Kuai Zhai Xiangzi

DAY 10

Return flight to Montreal
