SUGGESTED ITINERARY
A thousand and one faces of Morocco
This circuit provides exclusive and unique in a single trip to embrace all the geological and geographical diversity of Morocco, who meet in one country peaks over 4,000 m, Sahara Desert and the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts. Started close to the desert, this trip takes you first into one of the most beautiful mountain regions of Morocco, the Valley of Roses (nicknamed "the colorado Berber") at the foot of Jebel Mgoun (one of the famous 4000m). You will find, besides landscapes breathtaking and a magnificent beauty, the intimacy of the hard life and peaceful Berber tribes who were settled there in beautiful villages of mud, bios before the hour. Then we shall go down in the Saharan sand dunes to the beautiful and legendary Merzouga, renowned for their elegant curves and golden. A refreshing trip then takes us on the Atlantic coast, for a complete change of scenery and atmosphere this time with cliffs and beaches of fine sand like playground last highlight of the trip: Essaouira ( "the property drawn "), a pretty coastal town steeped in history and world famous for its painters and its festival of Gnawa music (separate discipline of world music).
Day 1
Departure from Montreal to Casablanca
Meet at the Casablanca airport. Transfer to Marrakech and transfer to hotel.
Day 2
Departure by minibus to Kelaa Mgouna by the collar Tichka and
Ouarzazate. Meet the team of carriers who will accompany us during this
journey. Bivouac.
Day 3
We travel throughout the Valley of the Roses through the green and yellow checkerboard of crops and many villages surrounded by walnut trees, fig and peach. Night Tourbist. 5 hours hiking.
Day 4
After the village we go back to cross the neck of Agouti (2000m) point of view the spectacular Jebel Saghro and north on the snow-capped Mgoun. The descent allows us to return gradually in the landscapes of the Assif elOuati. In the evening we will explore the great canyons carved and eroded of Agouti el Fougani. Overnight in the village. 5:30 walk.
Day 5
Descent along the assif we follow up Boutaghrar village nestled in
his circus collected under the peaks of Jebel Tadaout and Talaouit.
Then we go back to the wadi Mgoun the beautiful village of Tamgalouna.
Overnight in the village. 5 hours hiking.
Day 6
Riding alongside the Jebel Riguit, we reach the village of Ait
Youl in the Dades Valley with its gardens and extraordinary casbahs
night in Ait Youl. 5h walking.
Day 7
Our minibus comes to us again and transfer to the Merzouga Kasbah
route and the valley of roses. Bivouac at the foot of the dunes
Tannamoust.
Day 8 and 9
Days spent at the crossing on foot of the Erg Chebbi, surely the
most majestic of southern Morocco. Climbing optional, but strongly
recommended the dune will be rewarded by a magnificent sunset and a
full 360 °. Night Yasmina. Walk 4/5h a day.
Day 10
Departure to Ouarzazate early morning through, Rissani Alnif, Tazzarine and the Draa Valley.
Overnight at hotel on half board.
Day 11
We drive to Essaouira, on the road to Tizi n'Tichka through Marrakech. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12
Free day in Essaouira. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13
Return to Marrakech in the afternoon. Free time to explore the city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14
Transfer to the airport. Departing from Casablanca to Montreal.
